It is Christmas already! Here in the Netherlands, we have 2 Christmas days. I hope that you all have very happy Holidays! How are you going to spend it? Are you visiting family?
What Christmas looks like for me
Personally, I am not a very big Christmas fan. I know, shocker! I do like the movies, the atmosphere and the whole Christmas thing. What I don’t like is the obligated visits to family and sitting through long dreadful conversations that truly don’t vibe with me.
However, this year on 1st Christmas Day we’re going to visit both of my grandmothers. It’s one of those requirements of Christmas. We’ll go to grandmother number 1 in the afternoon for an hour or two and to grandmother number 2 for dinner and part of the evening.
We’ll probably listen to Christmas music, watch some Christmas movies and eat lots of food.

The 2nd Christmas Day (which, I recently discovered, isn’t a thing in most countries!) will be much of the same, but then at my boyfriend’s father’s place. We’ll go there somewhere halfway afternoon and then have some food and watch a Christmas movie.
I’m not really the dressing up type for Christmas either. If I have to sit through long conversations and movies, I want to feel comfortable! I prefer it anyway.
It’s not like I am a Grinch or something. I just don’t like having no say in what my day is going to look like. But even with all of this, I am still going to enjoy myself! I still love my family. And the best part of Christmas is always the food!
What does your Christmas looks like? Do you have Obligatory family visits like I do? Do you host your own Christmas party?
Whatever you do, Happy Holidays!
